Abandoned Buildings in Chicago

I am an amateur photographer and getting pretty intrigued by some of the photos I have seen of abandoned industrial facilities, sanitariums, old hospitals, and the like.

Any ideas in the Chicago area where there are really cool, interesting abandoned buildings? If they can be accessed as walk-in it would be the best.

There used to be this place, I want to say, somewhere around the end of the orange line? - Saw them knocking it down last I was home

i'm assuming you already checked out the old Cook County hospital? if not, it's on Ogden and Harrison, right by 290.

I always feel like that building is right out of a horror movie. It would make a good place to film a metal video also.

18th and Canal. The old Schoenhopf Brewery.

It may no longer be vacant, but was for years and is supposed to have an artesian well somewhere on the property.
