Best locations to move South of Chicago?

I've been thinking of moving to the south suburbs of Chicago land area but need to be near Midway and a realistic drive to the city for work.

Any suggestions on a safe area?

I need to be able to rent too. I was thinking Palos Hills but can't find much for renting out that way.
