I'll second this. I've only been in here once for a drink, but I was really impressed by their selection and the bartender's knowledge. They even had a Flanders Red on tap.

Haven't had their food, but I'm planning on trying it out sometime soon.

Two Brothers or Emmets are great brewpubs. For selection on tap, the Tap House Bar & Grill in St. Charles is good. For package store, I like Geno's in Elgin, and little Geno takes orders for seasonal brews. He stocks hundreds of beers from around the world

The Taphouse in Westmont (I think?) has a pretty good list of craft beer. I haven't been there myself but my wife and I are going soon so I scoped out the beer selection. Also, they rotate some, so there's always a few new ones.

Elgin Public house is a great spot, good selection on beers there. The also have frequent tastings!!

2 Brothers also has a homebrew supply (The Brewers coop)store inside. Go have a good meal, good beer, and pick up supplies all in one convenient stop!

I'll also agree with Brixie's being a great place in the western burbs. It's selection is "Map Room-esque" in numbers.

Also if you're in Forest Park, Healy's has a desent selection of microbrews in bottle.

Barleyhouse in Algonquin is definitely one of the best selections in the suburbs.
Alternatively, go into the city and hit up hop leaf.

Palmer's in downtown Lagrange Park. Selection is unbelievable
