I've been a diehard skyline fan for a long time... until I went to Texas to visit some friends. Something about skyline doesn't do it anymore when I am really hungry and looking for some substance that it seems only texmex can offer.
Skyline - I think is the best.
Gold Star's coneys are really good though too.
I have to say that Pleasant Ridge chilli is good - especially really late at night.
I've never had Blue Ash, but heard good things about it.
When I lived in Cincinnati I'd have any chili I could find. There was Emporess, Gold Star, Skylines, Blue Ash and one other (can't remember it's name - in Oakley). Skylines is the best in my opinion. When I visit family I head to Skylines right away. Too bad they aren't nation wide. Living in California now and really miss my chili. Fort Myers, Florida had a Skylines and when I am visiting there I like to go for 5 way cheese coneys and spegetti. Mmmmm.

Growing up in the northeast, I am used to a different chili altogether. We have two boys and my wife is from the area. She's a Skyline fan. The boys and I like Goldstar. I think it is the extra cinnamon that's in Skyline that turns us off. Either way, while I like the Cinci-style, I miss the texas style chili I grew up eating. Lots of big chunks of steak, bacon, beans and spicy! Mmmmm.
