IMO, LaRossa's food is inedible; particularly their pizza. Yuck!

This thread has gone far too long with no mention of Trotta's.

If by "east coast" you mean New York style, I haven't found it yet, after having moved here 13 years ago (though from Boston, not NY).

I like Gramma's, though they have a problem with consistency of quality. I like Donato's, too.

A short time after moving here, I read an article in the Enquirer in which they polled their readership for people's favorite pizza. LaRosa's won. One person said she liked LaRosa's because it reminded her of the pizza served in her high school cafeteria. That told me all I needed to know.

Best Local New York Style Pizza

Dewey's because of their white pizza - my favorite
Flying Pizza on Fields Ertle Rd and Rt22 is awesome
Marco's Pizza in Mainville (48 & 22) is also very good - and I'm from the North East.

Pizza Suprema on 7th Ave across from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.

The sauce is soo sweet it makes you notice there is also sauce on pizza - not just mozzarela cheese, plus thin crust, yumm.
They don't give you ice but they fill your cup to the top with cold fountain soda in paper cups they got from overstocks of cup printers - you never know what your cup will say.

I didn't notice this thread for for pizza country-wide. My answer is for NY City only.

If you happen to be in Waynesville area looking at antique's, there is a good little pizza place called Bentino's on the main road.
