cinemark

The local Cinemark movies had originally been scheduled to open today, July 3, and even had old movies listed and their showtimes. Now the opening has been pushed back to July 24.

esquire extra $2

The Esquire Theatre (and I presume Kenwood and Mariemont) are now charging an extra $2 for each admission which it says is for COVID fees. I asked the cashier about it and she said it was to cover the cost of paperwork--I assume she means the credit/debit card use? Anyway, a matinee is now $9.95. I went there today and won't be going back, because that is way too expensive for an afternoon show.
