Watching a movie on a TV, no matter how big the screen is, is not the same.
I love the feeling of going into the huge darkened room and watching a movie the way it was meant to be seen. I know that a lot of people don't like other audience members because they can be obnoxious, but truthfully, I don't have that problem.
A large part of that is because I live in the city that has a number of theaters and screens. As you can guess by my reviews, I don't see a lot of computer animated movies or action-adventure/comic book/sequels, so I don't have the problems of restless children or annoying cell phone users. I often go on a weeknight, or see a movie weeks after its release, when there are only a few of us there.
The movies for June and July at Rave Florence and Milford and Cinemark Oakley are:
June 14 and 17, Terminator (1984)
June 21 and 24, Jaws (1985)
July 12 and 15, Spaceballs (1987)
July 19 and 22, Double Indemnity (1944)
July 26 and 29, Gremlins (1984)
Unless the theaters change the times, they are at 2 p.m. Sundays and 2 and 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
