Hanging Lakes

Best hike EVER!! If you're visiting Colorado, make the drive, you will love the rewarding view of waterfalls and foliage at the top.

The downside to the Hanging Lakes trail is you are an ant on a hill...200 people in front of you, 200 behind you, and no one knows how to yield.

Earlier this year (June) they said it was closed for restoration or something. The sign said it was closed all summer but when I went out that way last month, it was open. Must have finished early. It is a beautiful place no doubt!

Then the whole hike up you are next to the creek coming down - it offers a nice cool down in the early summer as the mist hovers in the air:

Love the pictures... When we went it wasn't as crowded, but there were still enough people there. The one problem was we brought our dogs, and as you know, they aren't allowed on the trails, oops.

Went there last year and it was amazing. Was going to go this year but they were redoing the trail when I had time, maybe next year.

That's a bummer. I definitely plan on going back the next chance I have.
