Off-Roading in CT

I live in Milford and we're so packed with storage facilities and old folks homes, I can't finad and places to off road. I used to go down near the dump, but since they put in the gas plant the local PD and even the EPA patrol the area.

I would like to find a good place to ride in the Groton area also. I like to dirtbike, snowmobile and ride my quad. Anyone have any suggestions?

Unlike Massachuesetts, there really is no legal areas to go offroading in CT, Like Rubiconrich says, join a Club, most not all, have private property to wheel on.

Like said above, join a club or find someone with private land.

Or go find a trail and risk a $75 fine.

That's what I figured. Used to be a lot of open trails around here, but every square inch of land is being bought up and developed around here. In Milford they're actually selling lots as small as .10 acres with 2500 sq ft houses. This is why i'm looking to buy a retirement home in Vermont.

There is a couple legal spots (possible grey areas) but they get quite boring really fast. Plus they are not challenging.

im pretty sure the main trail at nepaug state forest is legal and paine hill
