Visiting connecticut is a great idea if you like food, wine, or beer.
The Connecticut Wine Trail (don't know what jungweissbier was talking about, I think the wines are pretty darn good)
hiking/camping/nature/foliage - plenty of it, all over the state
J. Timothys Tavern, Sliders, The Black rock - these are a few places for awesome wings
The Cottage - great restaurant
Thomas Hooker Brewery - smal brewery, great beer, I've been on the bottling line there, was good fun

There are tons of places to go to have a good time in CT, depends on what you want do there.

New Haven, Connecticut is home to the best pizza and oldest hamburger restaurant. As others have posted, we also have local vineyards/wineries that make fantastic wine.

In New Haven you can visit the beautiful Yale campus and eat some of the greatest pizza in the world. The top three pizza places are Sally's, Pepe's, and Modern. I was always partial to Modern, but I'm in the minority. The white clam at Pepe's is awesome.

I guess you could probably visit ESPN in Bristol if you wanted.

There are a lot of beautiful women in Norwalk during the weekends (if that sort of thing interests you)
They like to go to the bars and clubs in the Washington St area.
