Is it me or are we getting storms at the rate at which we use to get snow? I grew up in southern Maine and always remember getting a healthy dose of snow. Now living in Ct for the past 11 years I can't remember getting this many major storms before the midway point of winter.

The last 11 years have been somewhat quiet, but we have had our share in past years. This last one was the best I've seen in quite awhile.
Up to 5 more inches coming in tomorrow (I got 23 last week).

Lower Maine seems to have slacked off a bit as well. My mother lives in the Portland area, and her last couple of winters have been mild compared to years past.

This is a snowy winter. The volcano in Iceland put so much dust in the air which is tied to increased snowfalls.

Today's storm officially put us over the all time record for the most snow in January. Some 62 total inches or so

Yeah we've been getting hammered in Milford. I love snow, but there's just no more room for it. It's starting to block my windows

Looking at all of the potential tracks of this next storm, you guys are getting it no matter what it ends up doing..

Hopefully we will finally get a decent chuck, we've had nothing but lake effect so far this winter up here on the lake in NY. I'm jealous but I'm sure that won't make any of you feel any better..
