I'll have to check Franconia out! I love their Hefe.

I've also been meaning to make it down to Shiner, TX and do a tour there

The tour is really cool, he goes through a lot of info on the design and operations of the brewery. I felt that the beer has been hit or miss. The Helles has been rather tasty.

They offer there beer at the local bar I go to in Plano. But there has never been any consistency with the beer so it does not sell well.

Love Franconia. The first thing I did after moving here was tour the first local brewery I found and it was Franconia. They make some solid German beers. Fun little tour. Now is the time to go because they may have the Winter Wheat on.

Is it that each batch is hit or miss, or do you mean that certain varieties they make are good and certain varieties are not?
