I used to paddle over there to surf all the time, not that young anymore tho.
When WB is flat, mase usually has a decent wave.
Come on man, I'm 37 and paddled two boards back and forth yesterday. When WB s big and blown out Mase is usually great with a NE wind. Outside sets were 10 feet yesterday, with foot overhead thumpers on the inside, with draining hollow pits
Yeah, I was cussing on the way back while towing my spare board, paddling against a 30 MPH wind, but it was worth every second. It was just nice to get back into some real surf yesterday. I lived in Hawaii for 10 years and I miss my surf
Yup, It's really hard to get motivated to hit the waves here (especially here in Myrtle Beach).
I pretty much only get excited for storm surf here. I do get to take a surf trip now and then though.
I surfed blacks, scripts beach, and PB (socal) on spring break a couple years back. That was my only pacific experience. It was crowded, and the locals drop in on you every chance they get. I hear Hawaii's worse.

You must have had a BLAST when Earl swung through 2-3ft waves.
