Nothing like them. A good wool sweater used as a layer will keep you toasty. Also Pendleton wool shirts.
I don't turn the heat on till I have to and that's less than a week a year so far. For hanging out at home it's long sleeve thermal undies, jeans, light long sleeve shirt, wool sweater and a heavy shirt if it's really cold. For outside I wear a 3/4 length Triple Fat Goose coat or a rain jacket.
This year I've added a bib overall pair of ski pants for the two weeks of winter it's actually chilly. I found my blue footed boobie footwear brand new in a thrift store.
