Just got back from Harry Potter World
We went this past weekend, it was amazing. Was slightly disappointed to find out the butter-beer was nonalcoholic, darn!

Here are some pics...

Those pictures make me want to go, can't imagine what the rest of Universal Studios must be like.

I'm determined to make it there one day! I give my parents a hard time for not taking me when I was a kid, not that I would have remembered anything anyway.

Man I can't wait to make it there. I told my wife (who hates Harry Potter) that when I go I am going to drop like 1G on all the periphs.

I'm kind of sad to hear that the butter beer is also non-alcoholic. Too bad there isn't 2 versions, 1 for the kiddies and 1 for the older kiddies.

Those pics do look amazing though. They did a great job with the shops I hear!

My friend was just as disappointed, especially since she had turned 21 a week prior to!!

This attraction is going to remain pretty busy for the next year or so but right now the worst of the crowds are dispersed and the lines aren't terrible. The roller coaster is not actually new to the park - it used to be known as Dueling Dragons but it is still a great coaster and the Hogwarts castle that makes up the queue is amazing - especially the talking portraits. That section of the park is by far the nicest thing that Universal has done, most of their attractions are frankly sub-par compared to Disney (the coasters are great but the visuals not so much), but this new Harry Potter land is easily as nice if not better than anything you will see at Disney - it really is a must-visit for any Potter fan.
