Spring Break Beaches

The time for spring break is approaching and my roommates and I are looking for travel destinations. We hear Florida is beautiful, but where, specifically, is the best beach?

Depending on the atmosphere you want, here are a few choices...

Panama City Beach - party central
Destin - A little more calm and upscale, beautiful beaches
Clearwater Beach - Lotsa fun around there
St Pete Beach - nice beaches and lots to do in the area
Cocoa Beach - I've always had fun there

South Beach Miami... I think you will have fun there.

St Augustine, great little bars. Not insane partying but its fun. But can be if you have the right people with you

I hear about a lot of people going to Panama City

I live near Myrtle Beach and it used to be nice but we have so many illegals there now that is crime ridden. I'l go Panama city next year

Do you know of any reasonable hotels in the area?

Ft Myers Beach gets a small SB crowd. The Lanai Kai is the party hotel there. Perfect for college kids. Nothing like Pamama City, but a lot safer I would think for first year spring breakers since it's so small, the party town that is. A lot of the local high school kids try to mingle in with the crowds so they can party along.

clearwater if you like a bunch of kids. by kids i mean annoying high school kids. i highly recommend siesta key.
