I have lived in both city and country, I prefer the country for the fact that there is less traffic and less people trying to run you of the road. I like the fact the when you go outside at night you can see the stars.
i have also lived in both places, but i prefer living in a rural area. how ever i would wont to live close to i city with in a 45 min driving dis. that way you not cut off from civilization but you still have the luxury of living in the country having all the land and stuff but being able to go and do stuff the country doesn't offer.
I work in NYC and if I wasn't a poor college student I would absolutely love to be there 24/7. I am quite surprised to see such an overwhelming majority being fans of rural.
I'd vote for a rural setting about a 15 minute drive out from the city. Right now I'm living in a rural city about 45 minutes away from a good sized city. The peace and quite is real nice, and folks are pretty friendly, but it's nice to up and drive to the movie theater on a whim and not have to spend an hour and a half in the car...
