Well lets see, first and foremost is the Calgary Stampede, as Kyrativ has mentioned above. But there is also the 1988 winter Olympics, which was the first time Canada hosted them. Then the G8 economic summit in 2002 and then the Juno awards in 2008. We will also be co-hosting the world junior hockey this coming winter 2011/2012 with Edmonton. And I can not forget the Calgary tower, which open in 1968 and was one of the first towers of it kind. During the 1988 winter Olympics the flame at the top of the tower was lit, making the tower the worlds largest Olympic torch.

1988 were the first Canadian Winter Olympics. 1976 was actually the first time Canada hosted the Olympic Games

The Dalles is one of Oregon's most historical cities and was known earlier in its history as the town at the end of the Oregon Trail.

It has historically been an economic hub of the Pacific Northwest, linking major transportation routes between Eastern and Southern Oregon and Washington State. It is settled on the Columbia River, the second largest river in North America.

My cities famous for being right next to the most dangerous city in the world at the moment! hahaha. El Paso Texas. We can here the gunfire at night.
