Hi Ken My name is Alan. I am from Brownton, Minnesota.
I grew up on my Dad's dairy farm here in MN. We had a Ford 8N that was a chore tractor. We had a 7' 3 point mounted sickle mower. We grew about 40 acres of alfalfa to feed the dairy cattle. The 8N cut all 40 acres 3 and sometimes 4 cuttings each summer from late May to late September.
2 years ago I came down to Tomball Texas and bought a 1965 John Deere 4020 diesl from a tractor jockey. I bought it right at $6300. Although when I got it home to MN I put $1500 in new tires all the way around. Great tractor, pretty rare too as it's a narrow front with power shift. They only made about 5,000 of these. There were 258,000 4020s built. I really enjoyed your video of cutting your grass, nice place you have there. That's a nice rig the Ford with that finishing mower, looks like it does a nice job. I will try to attach a video of my 4020 in action. Al Z
