The butte in the middle distance got me to the general geographic area. Then it was just a question of time.. At first I was thinking it was somewhere near Sedona

And yah, that looks like a drive I would love to take.

Ahhh, let me think. It's in San Antonio. Would that be the Alamo?

There's not much to go on there Teaberry.

The topography and geology could be Appalachian, it looks like it's at the junction of two rivers, with rails but no roads visible. Maybe there is a road to the left in the picture. Shot from an old strategic/fortified position sometime since color film was invented

Am I heading in the right direction?

Or is it on another continent?

Try Ansted, West Virginia........It's the "Hawk's Nest State Park" overlook
on US-60 just West of Ansted, WV into the "New River Gorge"....
...I know you would never have guessed it but, you were on the right track...
