Amsterdam is in the Netherlands, and we already established that this city is not in the Netherlands.

Amsterdam is not the only "Venice of the North", I know at least 2 more... but I'm not going to tell you what they are.

If it's not in Italy and not in the Netherlands, it simply has to be either in Belgium, France, Germany or Sweden.

No, actually it does not have to be in either of them...

Here's a bit of city history:

By European standards, it's a very young city, it's only 300+ years old. What's unique about this city is that it was built all at once, as a whole, by the country's leader that is to this day considered the GREATest. Although very young, the city had changed its name several times, finally returning to its original about 20 years ago.

Let me know if you would like more clues, I have infinite knowledge of this city.

No clues for now. I need to look into this in more detail. I'm intrigued and puzzled.

I wanted to spend some time on it at work today but it was a little bit too much of a zoo so I never got the chance.

Oh, sure, take your time

I intentionally posted a non-descriptive picture of one of the city's streets/canals. The city, however, has a lot to offer, and quite a few of its buildings and monuments are easily recognizable all over the world.

If you stand on one particular spot, you will view a panorama of nearly every major landmark of this city. The name of the spot translates into English as "Arrow".
