I was able to say this about myself for many many years. In fact, 2008 was the year that I actually went and registered (and voted) for the first time. At the ripe old age of 30something.

Looking back on it now, its not a decision I exactly 'regret', but boy do I like (or at least feel) like I have some say as to what goes on.

So get out there and make your voice heard!

I just spoke to a buddy of mine who had a million excuses as to WHY he didnt get out and vote. And I must say this makes me sad.

Sure we live in a state where most of our decisions and laws are made FOR US (i.e. General Assembly) but damned if we dont have a little say so in the folks that are empowered to make those laws for us.

Every little bit helps! Just look at the 'close' races happening as the votes are tallied now. Think about those who 'could have' voted if they cared enough to. This could have meant the difference between a close race and a decisive one.
