Thank you for it! I've been talking to my wife about starting to give blood. My grandparents always did and managed to give gallons before they had to stop.
Good for you man! I give blood as often as possible, and which that more healthy young people would. I'm 24 and have been giving since I was 18 as often as I can. I do it through the military and it goes directly to local military hospitals/directly to overseas troops, so I feel like it should be required for military personnel. You never know when karma will come back around and save your life.

Well guys & gal, ah . . . I ain't exactly ready for sainthood either, I got a blood condition called "hereditery hemachromatosis" and we sort a kill two birds with one stone. Saving the savior, they are. It's a two way back scratch. I do it 4 times a year.
