stupid coronavirus question

My question is NOT about whether the coronavirus is an epidemic or not, so please don't get into an argument about that.
My question is this: Why are all the questions and articles I've seen on the Internet regarding coronavirus concerned how it will affect the economy? Why aren't they about people's health?

I agree and have seen little coverage of this. Not only their actual health but how it impacts their lives and families lives. Do you think this is to discourage mass hysteria?

Probably because like most of these epidemics, most of the people who die already have severe health problems.
