Chainsaw Weekend

Ice storm uprooted a large tree. They said we almost came close to tornado winds in some areas. Power was out for three days. Ended up getting a whole row of firewood to add to the pile.

It's a Husqvarna. I researched them a lot and it seemed like the best well rounded.

I got it stuck a few times because the way it laid I was unable to cut from the bottom in some areas so I top cut and it would fold onto the blade.

Got the hang of it after awhile but starting out got it stuck a few times.

How come I don't see Austin helping you? Is he one of those "fair weather friends?"

There's nothing quite like the ringdingdingding of a chainsaw. I love felling trees!
It's soothing to my soul.

I'll take pictures of the fire we are about to have from the non firewood brush past and from this tree. Probably going to be the biggest fire I've set before.

Huskies are great saws! I have a 365 and a small Stihl. That tree looks like a lot of firewood. What's with the handsaw? Is that what you started out with, then went to town?
