oh I didn't mention I got it at HEB. But def. just go to HEB, don't pay shipping for something that cheap.
Heh, yeah. They actually discontinued it at HEB, possibly all of them but definitely at the one by my house. Randalls doesn't carry them, neither does Krogers. I became concerned and then I found that WalMart has them as well as a local Kosher grocery store. Got extra bags and kit for $8 or so. Thanks for pointing out this item, I may have stumbled over it eventually but I appreciate it. Keepin' my hops in tip-top shape in the freezer.
Currently on tap:
Black Cherry Tart (Wit/Lambic)
Tasty's Amber (American Amber)
Owen's Oat Brown Ale
Texas Tea - Amber Honey Wheat
Just kegged my Christmas Ale to be had on Christmas Eve! Was originally intended to be a pumpkin ale, but the spices don't shine through as much as I'd like. Still a damn good Christmas beer, though.
Oh, and by the way, any homebrewers on the west side, be sure to check out our homebrew club, the Cane Island Alers. Find us on Facebook (CLICK HERE)
Our next meeting in January will be our Mead meeting. Last year a few of us brewed some meads, so we'll be tasting those, for sure. May also brew another batch...
Same here except don't have quite the tap selection he does.

Currently on tap:
Belgian Wit (2-3 pints left to this one)
German Wheat
American Special wheat (It's an Abita SOS clone, about 7.5%)
Strong Irish Red (Ala Jeremiah Red)
Classic Pale Ale
Black IPA
Aww, man we're all empty on the beer front. Kegging a big ass texas brown ale next week and a special creation called Old Zed's Red Dread soon after - a mix between an APA and an IPA. Should be yummy :-)
Mostly apple based fermented beverages here. (Ciders, wines, the occasional accidental vinegar, etc.) However I'm about to bottle my first beer, a Honey Oat IPA.
As for meads, I've had success with a few hybrids e.g. Wild Yeast Cyser and Pomegranate Raspberry Apple Melomel. However, I have several gallons of blueberries and think a blueberry mead (melomel) is in order. Anyone have recipe recommendations?

There is a very simple, but fairly tasty recipe over on HBT. It's still sitting in secondary so I'm not sure how the matured flavour turns out but so far during rackings when I've tasted it, it seems it will not disappoint. Here's the link. . . but I would also check out other recipes and then figure out which sounds better for you.
