The hamburger kid is pretty good on main and buffalo speedway. Also smash burger is pretty awesome.

Give PO's a try on Telge Rd. Lousy atmosphere, rude staff and burgers cooked on a grill that hasn't been shut off for a decade or so (I think it has been cleaned at least once during that time).

Net-net, the burgers are old-style, really flavorful and big for a decent price.

Southwell's off of I-10 in Memorial is my favorite! Prince's burger was great in the original location, the new location(s) aren't quite as quality or have the same atmosphere.

Ill second these choices.
Christians has a good selection of beers on tap and great onion rings. The only problem with Mels is they have many other great options like fried catfish and chicken fried steak. Im one of those people who have been saying for years im gonna eat that MEGA MELS burger. One day i will!!!!

GO REBS

So far I have tried the following:

Rockwells Tavern, PO's, 5 guys and Smashburger. This would be my order of preference of the places tried so far.

Rockwells Tavern: Awsome burgers. I noticed some of the customers just order 1 burger and share. The buns were awsome. Oh ya, did I mention 140+ bottled beers available.

PO's: About 100 yards north of Rockwells is PO's. Great burgers. I tried the Hot Bob. bacon, cheddar cheese and jalapeno peppers. Service was great.

5 guys: well cooked, juicy burgers with plenty of options. Fair price when compared to becks prime etc. I would probably rate this the highest of the chains based on value. Hint: order 1 larger order of fries for every 4 people.

Next on the list:

Mels and Nortons

I'm gonna have to vote Tilted Kilt. The food really isnt that good, but the scenery makes up for it
