It is VERY beautiful. Really, all of Idaho is beautiful and the weather is perfect year around. You get a little bit of everything. Just about when you get tired of the sun, it cools off and Fall is on its way. When you are ready for snow, Winter shows up and when you are sick of Winter, Spring and Summer are just around the corner! Can't beat it. The beauty of ALL seasons....

What do jobs look like in CDL? Cost of living? Is it pretty comparable?

jobs are very difficult to find currently in N. Idaho, the economy has really hurt the job market. I drill wells, and we have been pretty slow all summer

The only excetion, IMHO, are the ugly, dry areas in eastern Idaho.

Sandpoint Vay is me! CDA is a bit crowded anymore, but it used to be a nice little town!

I just had to leave Sandpoint after getting laid off at Quest Aircraft up there (great plane, hope they make it). I would have lived there forever. I love the north Idaho people. A good mix of types, and most are very friendly. Some liberal influence, especially in Sandpoint, but lots of freedom loving independents. My kind of folks!

CDA was the "big city" near us, and we made our way there several times a month. Would be a great place to live, in my opinion.
