I've lived here for decades, and things have been fairly constant over the years. Suddenly, in the last few years, we've been getting developers in our area. They put in fancy gated communities for the ultra wealthy, and the property assessments go up for everyone else in the area. The developer makes his killing then splits, leaving all the old time locals to bear the increased property taxes. Anyone else in Bonner or Boundary counties who wish to weigh in on this issue?
