Very first signs of Spring in Idaho?

So what are the first signs of Winter shifting into Spring in your area, that you look forward to? Here at our place, aside from the mud in the driveway and carpenter ants crawling across the floor, we get a Flicker that hammers away on our metal roof as well as our electrical pedestal in the yard. Things start looking up when those Flickers start that up. Was just wondering what parts of the onset of Spring, get you pumped about the beautiful weather that soon follows?

I've seen two carpenter ants this week by the way........

The grass starts turning green on the sides of country roads. Must be from the higher sun angle warming up the pavement right next to the road. Should start seeing it once this snow melts in the southern part of the state.
