Ok here in Kankakee(actually in Bourbonnais) we've got a small microbrewery/eatery (theres a word for that but i forgot) called Brick Stone....BEST EM-EFFIN PORTER I HAVE EVER HAD!

two brothers is also muy bueno as far as local breweries go....what are your favorites from the area.

Two brothers is about a 30 minute drive from my house. Prairie Rock Brewery was enjoyable, but they ended up closing a year or two ago (expanded into the wrong locations in my opinion). Don't really know of too many other places like that in this area.

Two Brothers is good stuff! They are right down the road from me. Stopped in there last week for a burger and growler.

They have one in Downers Grove as well. I don't mind taking home a few growlers. They also have a Homebrewer club.

Flossmoor Station Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery is in the south suburbs, too.

Limestone on Route 59 in Plainfield is really good. They'll be expanding/updating their menu soon, but the beer is well worth checking out.
