I traded in my 2001 coleman niagra popup on a 2011 Rockwood Roo 23ss hybrid camper this year. I pull it with a 2004 ford f250 lariate super duty diesel.

my wife and kids and I have been going camping many times per year for over 15 years now. Before our popup, we tent camped and I still do when I bring my boat camping.

we have outfitted our new camper with a solar panel and intend to dry camp where no electricity is available alot in the future.

My friend has a motor home he calls it a land yacht.
I use a tent to camp in, I wouldn't spend the money on gas that he does just to go camping local.
I have been camping with him at garden of the gods in southern Ill. that is about as far as he will go to camp.

I can't imagine feeding one of those huge monsters. My 12 mpg towing my 25ft. TT is bad enough.

I have an 83 Coachman Motorhome and a Viking pop up truck camper. Need to find more time to use both.
