4x4 Store in Indianapolis?

Anyone ever been there? I live about 3 and half hours away. Is it worth going to?

I assume you are talking about 4wd Hardware on Washington St?

No,

They have a small showroom (maybe 1000 sq/ft) consisting of a few random tires, winches, batteries, recovery gear and bumpers.
If you are looking for vehicle specific parts and pieces that they list in the catalog you will be disappointed.

If you want something from there, just order it from their website. They not have anything to look at besides a few tires on display. I was in Indy and decided to stop by for some parts I needed to save on shipping. Later I found out that I would of gotten free shipping anyways.

But they do have a small rock course setup at their store if your interested ...

It is definitely a disappointment, I ordered wheels from them online when they had a sale. I live in West Lafayette so I spent about as much in gas as I would have on shipping. Worse off they told me they could put my rubber on them and balance when I came in to pick them up and I got halfway there and called just to make sure and the guy informed me that they forgot to schedule it so I would have to pick another day.

For sure order on-line, if you use them. They don't have much on the shelves other then some tires as I've looked at what they have in stock several times to judge tire sizes. The guys are nice there, but I have never used them.

A better place to support: SunFire Off-Road towards Cincinnati.

Tillmans's on the south side is similar. More of a shop than a storefront. They can probably order anything you need and install it, but if you go there looking to shop, you'll be disappointed.

I agree with all. Its a pretty cool place, the rock garden really makes the place. Not worth that drive though.
