The Broadripple Brew Pub has some good choices. I'm not a pale ale drinker, so i like their fall and winter brews. Wee Alec Heavy and Ankle Biter are my faves, i'd say.
The Brugge also has some good ones. i love their Trippel.
Lafayette has two great places: Lafayette Brewing Company, which is a true brewpub, and People's which currently just sells growlers/kegs. These are the only two places in town to buy beer on Sundays.
Both beers are great, but I think Three Floyd's, in general, is better.
Racer 5, a hoppy west-coast ale by Bear Republic is one of my favorites. They've upscaled a bit and now you can find it in places like BevMo. Stone Brewing's Levitator is similar, if a bit hoppier.
