Has Sen. Dick Lugar jumped the shark?

Just asking for input on this board. Opinions welcome!

I personally believe that he has. I'm all for term limits and getting rid of the career politician. At a certain point we need fresh blood and I think we're past that point. I'd still take Lugar over about any Dem though.....yes I'm a republican.

Is he still a republican? Does he know? I don't live in Indiana anymore, but anytime I hear something of old Dick Lugar, it seems out of step with conservative core principles.

I can see how alot of my fellow hoosiers may think that, he doesnt make alot of noise on social conservative issues, however in my opinion he raises above alot of the petty political squabbles and that makes him a more effective servant of the people of indiana.

No question that he has got to go.

I am not in favor of term limits, the voters have the term limits in their finger. Just do not push the button for them.

He should have been gone 12 years ago, along with Olympia Snow, Susan Collins, and Lindsy Graham. It seems he votes with the democrat party more than he does the republican.

He is not conservative, I do not think he ever was.

He's long due for a replacement, but I don't think that means that a Dem should replace him. Hopefully someone in the GOP ranks that's not Santorum-esque comes through to replace him.
