That's kind of cool. Does anyone know of any Iowa buildings that incorporate grass roofs? Not earth homes, but ones that incorporate a grass roof technology.

In Cedar Falls a company called PFGBest has built their new headquarters and I believe a portion of their roof has grass technology. It's a beautiful building and was designed using very green technology. They have restored a wetland on the property that used to be dump site and with their own sewage treatment facility they are returning water to the wetland cleaner than what is there now.

Maybe they can put a grass roof on the new event center they want here in Mason City. If they build it in the lower lot of the mall it will get plenty of water when if floods.

Mason City

I believe the idea for Mason City is that they will raise the whole site out of the floor plain

The building I work at is so huge, I keep saying they should put a par 3 golf course on the roof so we can have fun on breaks and lunch.
