Iowa Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. Tailgate early, get to the stadium before kickoff to experience the pregame festivities and enjoy the game. There's nothing like it in the fall.

Well last year going to a hawkeye game was decent. They regulate the tailgating now, The POS cops want more money. All the BS they lied to the people to get them to vote on it, Was to fund the IC piggy dept.

The only reason to come to Iowa is that it will connect you to Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Etc. Other than that there is no trails unless you know a person with private land. They raised the speeding tickets to a stupid amount and will write you for 57 in a 55 now.
The only two things that are in Iowa now are Snake alley, The longest curvy alley in the US, Or the Iowa speedway. IMO that is a joke as well. If you want fun, Dont hit up Iowa. It dont stand for Idiots Out Wandering Around for nothing. Good luck

In northwest Iowa there is a place called Backbone State back. if you like to fish and hike they have some awesome trails and FRESH COLD WATER trout streams off a massive cold spring. Head east abit and you can see the effigy mounds of local Indian's (back when Indians were there).

Its actually NE Iowa.. not NW...

There is a bunch of state parks in Iowa, some decent ones, Backbone, Ledges, BlueMounds. There is also the Bridges of Madison county(cool to see if your nestalgic)

It all depends on when you would come as well, there are tons of festivals at different times of year, DesMoines always has somthing going on. BUT its not any different from any other metropolotian area, except that it is a "large" city that feels like a small town.

ADEL sweet corn festival is one really good one, all the sweet corn you can eat.

Park Inn Hotel

Frank Loyd Wright's last standing Hotel will be completed in the fall of 2011. This hotel will be a wonderful place to visit on your way through Iowa.
