Jeep Repairs and Mods In Jacksonville

I just recently moved to Jacksonville and picked up an 88 Cherokee that I'm working on. Any other backyard Cherokee mechanics around here?

I'm in Middleburg, I've worked on my share of Jeeps. Mainly CJs and Wranglers but I have messed with some Cherokee's. What are your plans for it?

At the moment, I'm just shoring it up with standard repairs and mods. Just finished switching to an open radiator system, new fuel pump, new rear main seal, etc. I have a small leak in one of the oil seals on the front axle so I'm trying to decide whether to pull the differential apart and fix it or replace the whole axle with a JY pull. I'm going to switch the Dana 35 in the rear for a Chrysler 8.25 in the next few weeks and I might just switch front and back at the same time and switch the gearing to 4.1 from the current 3.55. After I get all of the basics taken care of and strengthen it a bit I'll start building it up to climb a few hills.
