really... a fireworks stand!!!!

i live right off of exit 69 in blountville and recently discovered that a real nice parcel of property that would be perfect for retail developement or a resturant is being developed into a friggin fireworks warehouse... what a waste... not to mention killing my property value...

I know when I visited Tennessee a couple years back, I was amazed to see all the HUGE fireworks stands.

They are very tiny and portable here in WA State and are only allowed to open around 4th of July and News Years.

The Indian Reservations are the only exceptions.

If it makes you feel any better... my wife and I bought our dream property a several years ago. We were getting ready to build our dream house, etc. Then one day we woke up to massive tree snapping and cutting noises only to learn that the property along our East property line was going to become a huge Casino! They leveled thousands of trees!

We were deep in the woods on a private gravel road. Needless to say we got out of there in a hurry.

That property value went down by 40% since the casino was built. Glad we got out when we did.

I lived in Fl. for 30 some years and used to the big fireworks stores since the county ruled in favor of fireworks look for more of the big stores .
