Wichita still has a brewery. It's part of a brew pub called River City. Great Beer, top notch food, and a great atmosphere right in the heart of the "Old Town" area.

Kansas is a tough one. Some folks love it or hate it. I grew up there and got away and used to tell people that Kansas is a nice place to be from... FAR from.

But as I get older, I think of it differently.

It's windy as hell, freezing winters, very hot summers, hail storms, ice storms, tornadoes...

But get out into the country and it has it's own kind of charm. You don't find wide open plains like everywhere. And yes, the hunting is very good. Pheasant season opens every year in Sedgwick county on my birthday.

If you like to eat, they really know what beef should taste like and I can attest that there are far too many places in this world that do NOT.

I have left kansas 4 times and always end up back here unfortunately!!!!

There is plenty of stuff to do in Kansas. If you go up to Kansas City there is the Boulevard Bewery that you can tour. If you go up to Hutchinson you can see the kansas cosmosphere ( biggest collection of space race items in the world). The list goes on you just have to look!

I spent a few months in SE KS back in 94 and was never bored ... there was always something to do. Sometimes I still wish I never came home.
