Coffee Shops

I am looking for a good coffee shop- somewhere that is not a starbucks or 'its a grind' but is a nice place to get a good cup of coffee and read a book or do a crossword puzzle or something. I would rather support someone local than the big chains! preferrably in the summerlin/lakes area....

I like the main coffee shop at the "South Point Hotel/Casino". It is large and airy with a pleasant decor. But most important of all is that they serve a bottomless cup of "Douwe Egberts Coffee". Simply delicious! DE is an old Dutch Firm specializing in the import of Coffee, Tea and Tobacco. A few years ago 'Sara Lee' purchased the coffee/tea end of the business. I am a little surprised the a Hotel/Casino would choose to serve such an expensive coffee for their standard, but I am also very appreciative that they do.

There is lots of room in this coffee shop and they do not hurry you if you do want to read a little with your coffee. I ride a big motorcycle and really like that they have dedicated motorcycle parking right beside the elevators to the casino. ....... NevSmith
