Gold & Silver Pawn, Pawn Stars
Has anyone been to the Gold and Silver Pawnshop? I read an article saying the success of Pawn Stars has them tripling their size. Any real experiences with them? They seem nice, but they are pawn brokers.

I went when I was in Vegas on business earlier this year. I saw a quick glimpse of the Old Man and saw Rick drive off from the parking lot. I guess the "stars" aren't out in the shop much, just for filming.

I suppose it brings people in but I wonder if it actually brings business compared to just sightseers.

I met one of the guys out one night with mutual friends...he was very condescending and rude.
I felt like reminding him that he's not a "star", and all he did was inherit his father's successful business.
I'll stick with SuperPawn.

I like the show too, I would like to stop by the shop sometime. I just don't need anything or have anything to pawn.

Never been there but it looks like a small dump, at least from the outside.

I went there with my son because he likes the show. There was a line about 50 yards long. They only let a few people in a time, probably for fire capacity. But we skipped it, didn't want to wait. This was on the weekend, so maybe a weekday would be better.
