LV/Henderson Dining

Where are your favorite dining establishments? Share them with your fellow neighbors. Give a brief description (e.g. whats the dress code, price range, type of fare, etc.)

Please keep chit-chat to a minimum and post maps & contact information

In Henderson particularly and not within a casino:
Enzo's on Eastern. Great NY pizza. Casual attire. XL pizza is $15. They have a very nice eat-in reasaurant as well as lunch place-two seperate dinning rooms, actually. Homemade gelato. Not a cheap eats place by any means, but well worth it.

Buffet@ Asia. Location on Eastern in Henderson, but there are several other Vegas locations; all are great. Authentic Asian food; hot cooked as well as a sushi bar and Mongolian BBQ. Great Asian, god-Awful American. don't get pizza at an Asian restaurant. You've been warned. but all other food (Asian is WONDERFUL). Moderately expensive, though. Lunch for $8.99, dinner $14.99

Casual lunch sandwiches? go to Capriotti's. Great subs. Hard to find Philly desserts from Tasty Cake.

THE BEST PHILLY SUBS? Geri's Olde Philadelphia on Trop and Pecos. Original owners have had the restaurant for years. Its a luncheonette, just like in the Northeast. Great Philly steaks and pasta fagoli. They also carry Drake's Cakes and TastyCake for dessert.

Great delli overall? The Deli at Sam's Town. right outside their Soprts Book. Great food, Great service. Whatever you do, don't go to Sam's buffet. Waste of time and money.

Keep chit-chat to a minimum? After being asked my opinion? Hmmmm, can't do it. As much as I like some places, I am not going to be this site's Map Quest and yellow pages. I was asked for my OPINION, I gave it.

I just want to make sure this will be a good reference for people, so they dont have to weed through chit chat to find the next recommended dining establishment.

Best pizza I've ever had is at Villa Pizza, but not just any Villa pizza. It HAS to be at the Villa on Durango, otherwise it tastes just like regular chain style pizzas. The Durango location is a must stop every time I make it to Vegas.

It is a very laid back, NY style joint with some great folks running it. At least it was last year, when I was there last time.

China A GoGo.
For a to-go style (not panda express style) Chinese food, China A GoGo is delicious and fast.
The food is cooked to order with exceptional flavors and great prices.
While you are waiting; whether dining in or taking out, they will give you some fried won-ton strips and some sweet and sour sauce to snack on.

There are locations all across the valley. The one I would frequent was the Ann/Decatur location in NLV, in the Smiths shopping centre.

Lucilles Smokehouse at Green Valley Ranch.

Some of the best BBQ you can find. Even if you live off of Durango and the 95, its worth the drive to Henderson to try this place out. The portions are very generous and have that down home taste. Prices are fair for how much food you get. A dinner for two will run about $40-50 roughly.

From the 215, Exit on to Green Valley Parkway and head south.
The easiest way to access the restaurant is by turning right on to Village Walk (there will be an REI in front of you once you make the turn.) Veer to the left and follow the road around the side of the building. You cant miss Lucilles. It has ample patio seating and a picket fence.

Address
2245 Village Walk Dr.
Henderson
