Best county park on Long Island, NY?

I was just wondering what peoples opinions were on the parks located on Long Island. I heard a rumour that Hecksher State was closing but I'm not sure about it, however I am looking for other parks to go to.

Smith point is home for me. Cupsouage(sp) on the other side of moriches inlet is way cleaner and not as packed during prime beach season.

Try Caumsett on the North Shore. Great biking, nice rocky beach.

Robert Moses is always nice. I used to go to Jones Beach a lot, but as far as a park Robert Moses seems cleaner.

South fork, east end. Its like one big park (OK, in season it gets a little busy, but its still beautiful). Hither Hills at Montauk is one of my favorite destinations for a motorcycle or top-down ride.

I used to like Heckscher State Park. I didn't hear that it was closing. I use to go there a lot for events like local radio stations etc. Now I spend most of my summers on Fire Island. Between Kismett and Ocean Beach.
