Unlike us wrangler people, cherokee's need more of a lift to fit the tire in the wheel well. Us wrangler people have gobs of open wheel well so tires fit nicely.

By the way '04 TJ here on 32's (Kuhmo MT's), 3.5 RE lift and 1"body lift. Reason why is I plan on going 34 LTB's on my next set (which will be very soon) and I had a budget spring spacer lift before I moved to the RE for more articulation.
