I grew up in California but lived on the coast of Texas for 2 years. They are so proud of there beaches but they just don't compare to Cali

I've found the Texas Coast to be kind of mucky, especially Galveston.

I grew up in SoCal and lived in TX for a few years after. The only thing better about TX is that the water is warm. Otherwise....I better stop there.

Beaches are beaches. I've seen beautiful ones in Oregon, Alaska, and California. East Coast doesn't seem to have such nice ones though.
CA has the weather, TX has the politics. I would love to live in Texas.
