Hot Dogs in L.A.

I love a good hot dog and live just a few blocks from Pink's.
They are pretty good but not my favorite and the line is usually about an hour long.
There are some other great places near by such as Carney's on Sunset Blvd, Scoobys on Hollywood Blvd, and Hot dog on a stick on the Santa monica beach.
Here are some of the well known places > Los Angeles Restaurant Guide - Best Hot Dog - FoodieView
Tell us your favorite Hot Dog places so I'll have some new ones to try

When Pink's announced their grand opening in front of Knott's Berry Farm a few months ago, I figured it was time to try this highly coveted hot dog. After ordering two hot dogs and one order of french fries, along with two small drinks, the bill was $23.00! The hot dog was OK, but I would rather have eaten a dozen Der Weinersnitzel hot dogs. I left Pink's hungry and broke. Never again!

I think that their satellite stands are more expensive than the original location.
At Pink's on La Brea and Melrose (the original stand) a basic chili dog is about $3.50, it's when you start looking at the specialty dogs that they pass the $5.00 mark.
In the past few years they have been opening these satellite stands all over the place. I know that there is one at Hollywood Park Casino and another someplace on the Los Vegas Strip, now I guess at Knott's Berry Farm too?
I will say that they are just not the same as going to the original Pink's!

Ya' they are, they cut them fresh and there is always some sliced chips in with them. They use a seasoned salt that gives them a punch and serve with a remoulade sauce for dipping.

As a wiener factory mourner I have found the next best thing: Brats Brothers. It's a silly little shop with an amazing sausage menu and some nice german dishes. Brats Brothers

Thats the place! Wiener Factory.
It's gone? It was on Ventura blvd. Correct?
That place was great, steamy little shack with tacky little phrases written all over the wall's.

The original Pink's is good, but I've always enjoyed the Carney's on Sunset more. I guess Pink's is a "must do once" while Carney's, for me at least, is a "must do regularly". I have yet to try the other suggestions in this thread. I will certainly have to check them out soon.
