Snow in Southern California

I'm looking for a good place to take my kids for some snow / sledding in So. Cal.
Something suitable for little children, where we can just play.

Any suggestions?

It depends on where you are and where you are willing to go. Mt. Pinos is a nice place and there are also some places to go on the way up there. The Big Bear area is also nice, but I am not sure about the roads up there.

Big Bear ended up being the place. We found nice spot near Snow Summit. It was a blast.

The snow was good. We weren't in the park so there wasn't much of a base, but there was plenty of snow to sled and play in. My 3 year had a fantastic time.

The road up to Mt. Baldy. At the end, right before the ski parking, there is an awesome spot for sledding. I've had mucho fun there.

I used to go to Frasier Park when I was a kid. But the snow level has to be a little lower than Big Bear, obviously...
