Nice and thin, sheets of mozzarella instead of shredded, etc. Best pizza I've had this side of NYC.
Mulberry Street has 3 locations. Two in Beverly Hills and one in Encino. The Encino location is my favorite, by far.
But you need to eat it there for the "freshness". Having it delivered is not the same. About a minute under the broiler makes it good to go, though.
Runner up for me is The Slice on Wilshire in Santa Monica (where you can also get some of the best Hot Wings around). But at The Slice I need to have it "well done".
Lately it's been Georgee's in La Canada. Nothing fancy, just good tasting pizza.
I used to service restaurant equipment & got to try pizza all over. There was a little hole in the wall place in south LA that made great pizza. I think it was to go only. Toppings went on the crust, & the cheese & sauce went over the top of everything. I can't remember the name, but it was gooood. Does anybody know the place? I'd sure like to find it again.
