New LHBS in Pittsfield

Yesterday I was at the Somerset Plaza here in Pittsfield and stopped by a new store, New Leaf Naturals.
They have a good supply of homebrew supplies considering the size of the store.
Check them out if you are in Pittsfield.
I met the owner Steve Long, and we talked a bit about homebrewing.
He said if enough interest is there he would consider a homebrew club.
If interested the contact info is as follows:

I live in Bridgton and would love to get together with fellow Maine brewers.

Count me in!!

Hey guys,
I'm in Dixfield and would love to set up a group to meet on a regular basis. I used to be in a beer club a while ago, and we came from all over. We rotated houses to host meetings and events. We would have salesmen from different beer companies come in and present samples for us at many meetings. Everyone also brought samples of what they were brewing...Let me know if you want to set something up like that. I wouldn't mind managing it if needed.
Regards,
Dan

1st meeting

Let's get together for a 1st meeting, there are several where I work that were interested as well. How about the second week of May, give us enough time to setup a place and time.

I love it, I also can bring few peeps. I see you are in Pittsfield. That should be a good central locale. We can switch houses from meeting to meeting.

Did you wanna set something up in Pittsfield? Let me know what you want people to bring for taste testing. If people do not have a homebrew ready, they can bring a favorite beer that they want to share...just a thought.

Here's the question. How many people that want to join a brew club can meet once a month, afford a small monthly fee(for host food issues) and participate in the home-brewing process in order to share with other club members? If we can get a good amount of people, I would suggest the following. Meet once a month at a rotated location, based on volunteer locations. Use the fees for some good food when we meet. Brew something new at each gathering to review at the next meeting. If you are serious about signing up, please contact me asap. I would love to be the center point to get this thing moving. Middle Maine should have it's own statement. Not everyone around here just drinks Bud...
Regards,
Dan

I'm in

I'll talk to a few folks from work and let them know that this is starting to gel.
By the way, this year I'm planting hops for the upcoming brews.
Those are the only buds I'm interested in.

Sounds great. Does anyone else from this thread want to get involved?
